Mike and Kapono Na'ili'ili go way back...ALL the way back to Mike's very first gig. Mike was asked to put together a band as an opening act for a benefit concert featuring the Kata Maduli Experience, Hapa, and Brother Noland.

Mike and his good friend Kainoa Delo also go way back. Mike is fortunate to be able to have an open invitation to sit in with Kainoa's weekly performances in Waikiki anytime he's back home in Hawai'i.
Nico's Pier 38 in Honolulu still remains a great place to listen to Hawaiian music. Kainoa and Ellsworth play there regularly.
